  INDUSTRIAL NEBULIZER

The Fog Cannon® has been designed to tackle the problem of airborne particles and dust generated by open mining activities, general demolition work and industrial bulk material handling.

The machine emits a powerful fog jet of fine droplets of water/air and, if required, also a surfactant.

There are several Fog Cannon® models available with different projections and range capabilities.

The Fog Cannon® is electrically-powered and is also available in an intrinsically-safe version for explosive atmospheres or with a hydraulic motor. This masterpiece of fluid-dynamic engineering is the result of three years of research and experimentation, thanks to the expertise of professors from the Engineering School of the Milan Polytechnic.

CHARACTERISTICS

Fog Cannon® suppresses up to 90% of dust particles carried by air
Fog Cannon® is available in manual or fully automated version
Two types of surfactants are available: agglomeration and film forming
Surfactant ECS89 (certified by the German Ministry of Health, VDI 2584 and Ta-Luft.) Creates a harmless mist capable of rapidly suppressing airborne particles
The ECS90 film forming type is based on saline combined with natural biological glue. Creates a crust formation capable of containing dust particles
Fog Cannon® has a reachable range of 30 to 500 meters, an angle of rotation of approximately 270 ° laterally and a continuously adjustable height
This means that a single machine is capable of covering an area of up to 260,000 square meters
Fog Cannon® complies with EU Council Directive 98/20 / EC and 1999/28 / EC) and ISO 6396, 2008 COMPLY. Less than 80 dBA

FAQ

Q. What is considered to be dust?
A .: Anything less than 10 microns in diameter.

Q. How to measure a micron?
A .: A human hair is 50 microns in average and the smallest grain of sand on the beach is about 90 microns.

Q: Does dust naturally exist in nature?
A .: No, dust is generated by human activity and especially in industry or produced by combustion vehicles.

Q: How does Fog cannon work?
A .: Special mist nozzles produce water spray droplets, eventually added with inert chemicals. Typically, dust particles of 10 μm remain suspended in the air for long periods of time. The water droplets have the same dimensions as the particulates so the wet captured dust falls faster to the ground.

Q. But could not you replace with sprinklers or other types of vaporizers?
A .: No, if the droplet is not exactly the size required for particle capture it simply goes through the cloud of dust. Fog cannon injects droplets between 90 and 115 microns through the pressure of 15 bar also calculating the losses from the exit of the system to the place or area to be treated. In addition, irrigators spend 10 times more water and with 1000 times larger dropslets.
